Charming in its presentation but frustrating interface. We purchased more monsters but they do not seem to appear for coloring. An app for children should be intuitive. For the moment, there are better coloring apps available.

Color a monster (monster coloring book) Its awesome. I love playing it Sincerely Renee
Took awhile to figure out. Pretty fun though! Its hard to fill colour into the very small areas. Monsters are cute. Wish there were more colors and patterns.
Creatively its very nice but the performance is poor on iPad 1. Delay between coloring and tapping is too frustrating for my 2.5 year old. All of the menus are clunky performance wise and not easy to navigate. updated from 3 to 4 stars with latest update. The UI has been improved
Graphically stunning! Great job there. Cant for the life of me, figure out how to use the freehand brushes on our own monster instead of the sample one. Not very feature rich! not enough of anything to be truly creative with. Not enough stickers, patterns or colors! Sorry, this could have been really great but its mediocre at best.
This app is lots of fun, and not just for little kids. Lots of cute pictures to color and the features are great. I wish there was an undo option though. And for future updates maybe you could consider adding some brighter colors because most of the ones in the app seem a little washed out.
Adorable images that are fun to color!
Love the app but its needs alot of improvements like the ability to zoom in and out. The user interface need to be redesigned, as a graphic designer I would like it to be more like (adobe ideas) app. Im sure if u do it, this app will be one of the app store hits
This app is an overall spectacular experience. There is a really nice variety of pages to color along with a nice range of tools to enable you to hit the ground running. If you want to spend time adding the attention to detail by picking a brush or decal to really make the monster your own. Its very easy to output your customized monster to your photo album along with a printer with adds a great "cool factor". At first it was a little challenging for my 4 1/2 daughter to pick the tools or monsters that she wanted to use because you have to purchase the items with monster bucks, however after taking a little time to set things up for her she was able to easily enjoy the app without my help so I would suggest, for younger kids, to take a few minutes to help set it up. As for utilizing some of the full capabilities of the iOS, it cant be any better. A single purchase enables it for both your iPhone and the iPad and, once again, the printing feature really makes the app complete. I really look forward to seeing how The Monster Coloring Book evolves over time.
Im crazy about this app! Its cute, fun and ridiculously engrossing. If I need to relax but have limited time, I just color a monster and go back to the business of my day a little more cheerful. I would love to see more stickers available--- a customizable speech bubble would be awesome. I would instantly give this 5 stars if I could zoom into the picture. Its still a lot of fun on an iPod Touch or iPhone but it would be easier to use with zoom.
kids like it very much, colorful app, awesome
It would be nice to be able to play own music or have some kind of longer playlist so it doesnt loop so much. Crashes quite often - otherwise pretty enjoyable.
At first I was like, "Wonderful... another money grubbing app..." when I saw that you had to buy "monsterbucks" to purchase the patterns and colors they feature in the review. BUT! Changed my mind quickly when I saw that they give you 10,000 "monsterbucks" to start with and you continue to earn more as you use regular features throughout the app itself. I see that everyone else uses this app for kids... Im 20. I use this app when Im bored and have a few minutes to kill. I didnt want any regular coloring app. Monsters just happen to make it intriguing for all ages!
The premise of this app is good, the execution is quite poor. The drawings are top notch and the colors and patterns are fine. The real problem is the performance. It runs very slow for a paint program running on the iPad. The interface makes it difficult to use, even more so for children. Most troubling though is the amount of crashes. My child has yet to be able to finish and save a monster after about an hour of use; annoying for an adult, even worse for a child. If they can work past and patch these problems then the app may be worth a purchase, as of now it maybe money wasted.
Awful and confusing for small kids. Cannot use unsupervised. Keeps asking her to buy things. Stop using modal dialogs. Its an elaborate ad.
So much fun and lots of creative options.
Cute monsters - not so cute interface. Only for patient, clever kids or adults. Good concept- improvements could begin with better navigation scheme and larger tabs for eager fingers.
Fun app, love the cute monsters and all the add-ons!
Love the patterns and monster designs. Good for adults who like to color too! App gives you some built in point to spend on add-ons..nice.
Glad I bought it
